Sarah Schumann

Sarah Schumann's early work in the 1950s and 1960s focuses on expressive black and white photo collages that deal with the themes of femininity, injury, war, history and landscape. The motifs taken from books or magazines are first collaged and then photographed by the artist. The resulting photo can be unique or a printed edition.
